Tango Unplugged promotes Argentine Tango as a social dance form through its regular events (milongas) @The Ark, Alvechurch and its classes in Tango Fundamentals. Our classes start with an exploration of good posture. We learn through play, exploring the relationships which create the drama which is Tango. Learning to listen is key: to ourselves; to our partner; to the phrasing and subtleties of the music. We ensure that our dancers understand the basic patterns upon which Tango is based, but see these not as a lexicon from which a dance may be constructed, rather as possibilities on an infinitely variable journey responding to the music with which we dance.

Our regular social events are friendly and encourage a mix of experienced and less experienced dancers. These are usually held @The Ark on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month with an occasional Saturday. Our fundamentals classes held on the 1st, 3rd (and 5th) Monday are currently at Coolpilates Studio, Barnt Green.
