Tango Bridport & Weymouth is a small group of tango dancers at all levels who meet weekly to socialise and to develop their Argentine tango dance skills. We meet in bridport on Wednesday evenings and, as a separate group, in Weymouth on Tuesday evenings.
Our learning focus is very much on developing good technique, including focusing particularly on partner empathy and the embrace, rather than learning steps or sequences as isolated constructs, in short, learning to dance Argentine tango. We’re very friendly, open and social, help each other, and welcome beginners and others to our evening classes.
We also run events such as milongas, workshops and festivals two or three times a year, events where you can enjoy yourself but also learn from experts. Check our website at tangodorset.org.uk for information on classes and coming events.
