Ivan Arandia and Ali Vale will teach a thematic workshop: “Tirando Pasos with CARLOS DI SARLI” The Gentleman of Tango and his Elegant Dancing Beat.
A workshop dedicated to the music of Carlos Di Sarli, pianist, composer and director of one of the most representative típicas of the period. Nicknamed “El Señor del Tango” (The Gentleman of Tango) on account of the elegant yet austere style of his compositions, Di Sarli’s music is popular with dancers because of the delicate balance of rhythm and melody he achieved throughout his career. One of the very personal characteristics of Di Sarli’s recordings is the use of the bandoneons in a mainly rhythmical role behind the violins, which carry the melody or execute short solos and the piano embellishing the elegant dancing beat.
Contents: Caminatas with Syncopations, Giros “Caminados" and with Sacadas
