Show tango! Expressed through vibrant Argentine tango and modern dance, Smoke & Mirrors is a narrative of friendship and love betrayed, of sexual tension and passion, of magic and witchcraft executed for nefarious ends.
Professional dancers Emma Lucia Reyes, Martín Espindola, Paula Duarte and Ivan Arandia present a range of emotion – quiet pleasure, excitement, envy, lust, jealousy and rage – all with subtle feeling and to live Argentine tango music from the renowned Orquesta La Poderosa Tango, comprising Tim Sharp on keyboard, Javier Fioramenti on guitar, Milo Bird on ‘cello and Martín Espindola on bandoneón and voice.
Because of its style and the enjoyment it brings, don’t miss this exciting theatre event of Argentine show tango! Tell your friends about it and bring them to join all those from Dorset, Somerset, Devon and wider afield who’ll be coming along to enjoy the show.
Smoke & Mirrors is the opening show part of BATSfest, the Bridport Argentine Tango Spring Festival - see the separate event of that name here and also check things out in detail on our website.
