In this second series of tango classes, we explore giros (turns) initiated from both the forward cross and the back cross. This course is designed to deepen your understanding of circular movement, lead-follow dynamics, and connection with your partner.

Key concepts include the sensation of circularity in both leading and following, the use of upper-body torsions to maintain orientation, and techniques for accompanying and accommodating your partner throughout turns.

The class will also focus on opposition mechanics, emphasizing forward and backward stepping, as well as curving the movement through open and crossed positions.

Additionally, students will explore classic tango elements such as parada (stopping a step), sandwich, mordida (syncopated foot placement), barrida (sweeps), and arrastre (dragging movements). The course will also introduce more advanced techniques, including changing giro direction, executing a cross-system giro (4:4 timing), and controlling the axis through "bicycle" and "hamaca" movements.

Whether you're looking to refine your turns or enhance your overall fluidity, this series provides a structured yet dynamic approach to mastering these essential tango elements.
