Olivia and Fernando are Brazilian tango teachers and artists, with a thirty-year career that claims several esteemed titles and awards. They currently live, teach and perform in Buenos Aires. They are founders of the EsTudo Tango method, based on the tripod of musicality, Physics’ vectors and Laban’s movement factors. They are also producers of the EsTudo Tango International Congress in Buenos Aires and co-authors of the book “Themes of Argentine Tango - Argentina and Brazil.” You can find many of their acclaimed courses online under the names “Estudo Tango.” Olivia and Fernando have taught in over 40 cities throughout Brazil, Argentina, US. They currently teach regularly every Sunday at the Tango Temple, the historic Marabú, where the emblematic orchestras of Aníbal Troilo and Rodolfo Biagi debuted, in 1937 and 1938, respectively.
PRE - MILONGA WORKSHOP 4.30PM - 6PM
Olivia and Fernando will teach a musicality workshop with a focus on the music of Juan D'Arienzo. This workshop will aim to deepen your understanding of how you can express the musical features of D'Arienzo's music in order to get the most our of your social dancing. Being one of the 'Big Four' orchestras, the music of D'Arienzo is a staple and firm favourite amongst dancers ar any traditional milonga, usually being played more than once in an evening, so your learning from the workshop will be immensly useful and applicable to dancing in the milonga where there'll be plenty of opportunities to start implementing what you have learnt straight away!
