We’re delighted to be able to offer you the chance to learn Authentic Argentine Tango with Benjamin Galian, a professionally trained dancer with many years experience of teaching and dancing Tango. He has taught and delivered lectures about Tango in many different countries. In addition to this, he has performed at milongas in Buenos Aires, Argentina and around the world. He has also taken part in the prestigious Mundial de Tango championship in Buenos Aires.
Free Taster Session: Friday 3rd January 7.30 – 8.30pm
This is an opportunity to meet and get to know our teacher, find out about more the Tango in general, meet others, ask questions, as well as learning some basic steps and technique. Even if you’re just curious and want to drop in to watch and sample the atmosphere, you are more than welcome to do so.
Beginners’ Course: Fridays 7.30 – 8.30pm from 10 th January 2020
This is a six week course which will focus on some of the core elements and principals of Tango, and equip you with the fundamental techniques necessary to begin your Tango journey and start dancing socially. Benjamin’s teaching focuses on more than just teaching the basic steps. In addition to this, there is a focus on quality of movement, achieving a good connection with your partner and dancing with musicality. This course is suitable for absolute beginners and also for more experienced dancers who wish to revisit the basics.
Price: £6 per class (or £10 if you take the class together with the Tango Technique class)
Tango Technique: Fridays 8.30 – 9.30pm from 10th January 2020
Tango is a dance which involves the whole body. Developing our technique frees us to express the musicality, and enables us to dance better for ourselves and our partners. In these classes we will
focus on improving important aspects of technique including posture, balance and quality of movement. This is an open level class which is recommended for beginners as well as more
experienced dancers.
Price: £6 per class (or £10 if you take the class together with the Beginners’ class)
Light refreshments in the form of tea and coffee are freely available.
